Jaye Robin Brown, or Jro to her friends, lives and writes in the mountains north of Asheville, North Carolina. She is fond of horses, dogs, the absurd and the ironic. When not writing, you can find her in the art room of the high school where she teaches.
Her debut young adult novel, NO PLACE TO FALL, comes out in the fall of 2014 from Harper Teen. It's about dreams, singing, friendship, lust, love, betrayal, family, and mistakes. It's also a love song to small town girls and mountain music, both of which shape the area that Jaye now calls home.
Ten Random Facts about teenager Jaye -
1. She grew up near Mobile, Alabama in a house right on the bay.
2. She went to an all girls' school for ten years.
3. She was one of those kids who floated between cliques.
4. She saw a lot of concerts including Journey, ZZ Top, and Styx.
5. She wrote poetry for fun.
6. The original Jaws released on her birthday but she was scared to see it.
7. She made A's in Art & English and C's in everything else.
8. Her breakfast drink of choice was Diet Coke.
9. She never smoked.
10. She was sometimes naughty but never got caught.
